Cristiano Ronaldo Sent Off as Al Hilal Overcome Al Nassr in Saudi Super Cup Semifinal

Thrilling Encounter Ends 2-1 in Favor of Al Hilal

Ronaldo Sees Red After Controversial Incident

In a highly anticipated clash, Al Hilal emerged victorious over Al Nassr in the semifinal of the Saudi Super Cup 2024. The match, held at the Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh, ended with a 2-1 scoreline in favor of Al Hilal. However, the game was marred by a controversial incident involving Al Nassr's new star signing, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese forward, who made his debut for Al Nassr in the match, was sent off in the 35th minute after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession. The first yellow card came for a reckless challenge on an Al Hilal defender, while the second was shown for a controversial dive inside the Al Hilal penalty area.

Despite Ronaldo's absence, Al Nassr managed to take the lead in the second half through a brilliant strike from Brazilian midfielder Talisca. However, Al Hilal fought back and equalized through a powerful header from defender Ali Albulayhi. The match-winner came in the 89th minute, when substitute Salem Al-Dawsari fired home a stunning volley to send Al Hilal into the final.

The result means that Al Hilal will now face the winner of the other semifinal between Al Ittihad and Al Feiha in the final of the Saudi Super Cup. Meanwhile, Al Nassr will be looking to bounce back from this disappointment in their next match.
