Scotland face Switzerland at EURO 2024
Tartan Army in need of result after opening day defeat
Scots only EURO win over Switzerland came in 1996
Scotland will be looking to get their 2024 European Championship campaign back on track when they face Switzerland in their second Group A match on Tuesday. Steve Clarke's side lost 2-1 to the Czech Republic in their opening game, while Switzerland drew 1-1 with Spain.
This will be the second meeting between Scotland and Switzerland at a major tournament. The two sides met in the group stages of EURO 96, with Scotland winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ally McCoist.
Scotland have only won one of their last five matches against Switzerland in all competitions, with two draws and two defeats. Their last meeting came in a friendly in 2018, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Switzerland will be slight favourites for the match, but Scotland will be confident of getting a result if they can play to their potential. The Tartan Army will be looking for a big performance from their team, and a win would give them a major boost in their quest to reach the knockout stages.
The match will be played at the Hampden Park in Glasgow, and it will kick off at 8pm BST. It will be live on TV on ITV1, and you can also follow live coverage on the UEFA website.
