Press Release - September 12, 2024
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - September 12, 2024) - Hertz Energy Corp. (TSXV: HRZ) ("Hertz" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has commenced exploration activities at its 100%-owned Harriman Antimony Property ("Harriman" or the "Property") in Nevada, USA.The Harriman Property consists of 30 unpatented lode mining claims covering approximately 600 acres (243 hectares) in the Battle Mountain Mining District of Lander County, Nevada. The Property is located approximately 50 miles (80 kilometers) northeast of the town of Battle Mountain and is accessible by well-maintained gravel roads.
The Harriman Property is situated within the Battle Mountain-Eureka Trend, which is a prolific mineralized belt known for its high-grade gold, silver, and antimony deposits. Historical exploration and mining operations on the Property date back to the early 1900s, with production of antimony ore recorded from several shallow underground workings. Antimony is a strategic metal used in a variety of industrial applications, including flame retardants, batteries, and electronics.
Hertz's exploration program at Harriman will consist of geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and geophysical surveys. The initial focus of the program will be to identify and delineate prospective areas for antimony mineralization. The Company believes that the Property has the potential to host a significant antimony deposit, based on the presence of historical workings, favorable geology, and regional prospectivity.
"We are excited to commence exploration at the Harriman Antimony Property," said Hertz's CEO, Mr. Peter Hertz. "Antimony is a critical metal with growing demand, and we believe that the Harriman Property has the potential to become a valuable asset for Hertz."
Hertz Energy Corp. is a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of mineral properties in North America.
